WELCOME TO TEXAS COLLEGIATE DECA!
Texas Collegiate DECA is a part of something bigger – we are a division of the national organization, Collegiate DECA. We prepare students for careers in marketing, fashion, merchandising, management, entrepreneurship, advertising, sales, integrated technology communications, finance, hospitality, culinary arts, and other business and marketing career fields.
Activities promoted by Texas Collegiate DECA integrate with and enhance your academic program. We have close ties to the business community which provide career opportunities for members.

HOW YOU CAN JOIN
Any student that is enrolled in a college or university in the state of Texas on either a full or part-time basis at some time during the academic year may be a member of Texas Collegiate DECA. Texas Collegiate DECA membership is also open to DECA advisors, alumni and professional members. This includes undergraduate and graduate students.
To be a member of Texas Collegiate DECA, you must pay state and national membership dues. State dues are $15 per member per year. National dues are $10 per member per year. If your school has an established chapter, your chapter may require additional dues to become a member.
There are three ways to join Texas Collegiate DECA. These are outlined below.

START A NEW CHAPTER
Colleges and universities are always supportive of organizations that are going to open new doors for their students. That is just what Collegiate DECA will do for their students!
Here are a few steps to take when you are looking to start a chapter at your college or university.
Reach out to your college's student organization center and learn about their processes for establishing a new organization on campus.
Find an advisor. Their role is to provide support, serve as the liaison to the rest of the college, mentor members, and travel to conferences with students.
Establish your chapter with Collegiate DECA at: decaregistration.com/collegiate/NewChapter.aspx
Recruit members on campus. Focus on your friends, classmates, faculty announcements, and former DECA members. Contact Nicole Willis at email@example.com or Holly Norris at for former DECA student contact information.
Collect and submit dues to Collegiate DECA.
Get organized – elect officers, plan activities, connect with your state officers for ideas.
Conduct fundraisers to help support member attendance at conferences.
Promote your chapter on campus. Visit the college President or Dean, and work with the college's public relations department to celebrate your results and success!
